Daffodil & Tulip Project

Posted: May 22, 2014

The grade 4 students and Mrs. Karrie McCurdy have been working really hard at being great gardeners. Each student got to experience the real job of being a gardener by planting beautiful daffodil bulbs outside in the inner court at the school. They also planted bulbs in a green house container in their classroom. The plants outside are growing fast and some are even blooming beautiful yellow flowers!  The inside container is not doing as well.  They have plants but no blooms yet. The garden is part of an iEARN project with other countries around the world.  While the students were waiting for their flowers to bloom, they each created a powerpoint of one of the countries.  This was worked on every Thursday.  If they finished their work early, they got to work on it.  The grade four students are really good gardeners and they hope the daffodils and tulips keep growing!
