The Grade 6 class has been working on a project called The Tomatosphere, http://www.tomatosphere.org. They have received two packages of tomato seeds from the International Space Station. One of the packages has been up in space with the astrounauts aboard the ISS for 22 months and the other has stayed on earth. Without knowing which package has been in space they've been labled package T and package V. The Grade 6 class has planted them and are currently observing the growth of both packages of the tomatos. The reasoning behind this project is to see if it is possible to grow crops in space. (Published by Jill and Abby)
