The school is having a fundraiser to raise money for school activities, the students were sent home on Thursday, April 2 with a catalogue, order sheet, and an envelope to keep the money in. A big thanks goes to Cindy Courrier for arranging the fundraiser!!!!!! Every dollar counts:)
On March 31 the grade 5 class recieved salmon eggs. The students were very anxious to obsurve the salmon growing in the classroom tank. The students will be releasing the salmon into the salmon barrier in Jacquet River after they grow.
Students in grades 6 to 8 are selling raffle tickets on a piece of original art thanks to the kind donation of artist Al Roy. Tickets are $2 a piece. The draw date is fast approaching.
Students in grades 3 to 8 participated in Jacquet River School's first STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Expo, which replaced the old Science Fair. Futured this year were Science Fair projects from grades 5 to 8, Wetlands presentation by grade 4 and Lego Robotics by grades 3 and 5. Jillian LaPointe, Brianna Duivenvoorden, Kaia Carrier, Chloe Hambly-LaPointe, Kelsey Gallagher and Andrew Boudreau will be representing JRS at the ASD-N North Division of the STEM Expo at Superior Middle School, March 11th.

This week ( February 23-27) Andrew Boudreau one of our grade 8 students will be skating as part of the figure skating : pre novice boys at the Canada games in prince George B.C.
