Tuesday: Going home, Puzzles, Boys volleyball, Art, Videogames, and homework
Wednesday: Going home, Video games, skating, homework, painting, snowshoe, and Girls volleyball
Thursday: Going home, dodgeball, boys volleyball, homework, braclets, and skating

Mr. Tulloch's grade 8 science students were assigned the task to design, build and test a periscope to demonstrate reflection on light in a real life application. Their finished product had to look over a tall object or around a corner. Pictured here are the students with their final projects.
Payment and fundraising was discussed at the parent meeing. It is proposed that a payment of $60 per child per month be made toward the trip. This will help families with budgeting. Payment can be in cash or cheque (please make payable to Jacquet River Student Council). A receipt will be sent home with each payment. Payments can be $15 a week, $30 bi-weekly or $60 a month. More can be paid at any time if you wish. $60 is due each month by the dates below:January 30th, February 27th, March 27th, April 24th and May 29thThis payment schedule will cover $300 of the estimated price of $420.
This year the entire middle school will be going on a trip to Quebec in June. In order to help with the cost of the trip we will be doing some fundraising. Our first fundraiser is a Valentines gift card basket raffle. Once again this year our school will be collecting evaporated milk for The Spirit of Christmas. The Spirit of Christmas is an organization dedicated to helping the elderly. All evaporated milk will be donated to the senior center. If you wish to make a donation you can send it with your child to school. You can also drop by the school and deliver the donation to the secretary. Your donation will be apreciated.
